Known as the number one global money transfer app in Japan and the receiver of the 2021 Good Design Award, Digital Wallet Corporation’s Smiles Mobile Remittance is inching closer to the top of the chart out of numerous apps on Apple’s App Store.
As of December 2022, Smiles has been ranked as the 180th most downloaded mobile app in the finance category of the App Store in Japan. This is compared to hundreds of other finance apps on the market.
According to the chart above provided by SensorTower, many of Smiles’ close competitors who have been providing their service for longer are performing at a lower rate.
At one point, on Nov. 13, 2022, the Smiles app was ranked the 115th most popular finance app in Japan. As a remittance service that has only been operating for only five years, these rankings show how fast and strong the service is growing.
