Canada/Tokyo, Japan – Digital Wallet Group (DWG), developer of Smiles Mobile Remittance (Smiles), known as the number one international mobile remittance service in Japan and 2021 Good Design Award winner, held a pre-launch event for their Smiles Mobile Remittance App in Canada on November 18, 2021.
For the first time, the Smiles app will become available to international citizens in the Western Hemisphere. The Smiles service has developed a strong relationship with communities from the Asia Pacific region, mainly in Filipino communities since its first launch in 2017.
“With a direct and strong network with banking partners in the Asia Pacific region and using state-of-the-art FinTech and AI, we’ve become an established infrastructure and indispensable service for international citizens living in Japan,” says Eiji Miyakawa, Founder & CEO of DWG.
Smiles team members and customers have made a major impact on the growth of the Smiles service in Japan, and it’s time for many potential “Smilers” in Canada to enjoy Smiles Mobile Remittance.
From November 18, 2021 until the official launch, customers will be able to download the Smiles app on their phone and register. During the limited time, various campaigns will be provided for pioneer customers of Smiles in Canada.
